Our History
Highland Road Animal Hospital was created over 40 years ago, in 1968, by Dr. Randy Thayer. It was started in order to offer quality veterinary care to the growing area of South Baton Rouge. Dr. Thayer believed in the exceptional standards of the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), and has been an accredited member hospital for over 25 years.
Dr. Carrie Fox transitioned from associate to owner in 2002, and Dr. Thayer retired at the end of 2004. Dr. Adrian Bergeron was added as a partner in 2008. Our staff will continue with Dr. Thayer’s original goals, and add some of our own, including an outstanding new facility slated to open in 2010.
